EDUC 760: Instructor Becky Mather

Free on-line courses are being offered by a number of venues, among them iTunesU and Coursera.  The majority of these courses are being offered by accredited universities and colleges the world over. 

Previously, these courses were offered as professional or personal development offerings and had no accepted college credit.  Now, a recent decision by the American Council on Education may radically change the granting of credit for free on-line college courses.

Please read the following news brief on the potential decision by the ACE (American Council on Education) to award credit for five classes offered through Coursera.  After reading the short article, please offer your opions and feedback to the five questions offered.
